Vandalism at the South Zeal Recreation Ground

Disabled ToiletSouth Tawton Parish Council, along with the Recreation Ground Committee, regret that the toilets in the Recreation Ground will be closed until further notice due to continuing vandalism of the site. Broken windows, damaged and broken slates, broken toilet roll holders and the burning of plastic and paper all have contributed to this decision.

Whilst this mindless damage is being caused by one or two individuals, it does effect everyone who wishes to use the Recreation Ground facility. The funding of the toilets is undertaken by the Parish Council from the precept it receives from your Council Tax bill, so the more damage and cost, the more each household will be indirectly forced to pay if we want this important facility to remain.
Please take the time to speak with members of your household of all ages and explain that this effects your household bills and to report any incident of damage to the police, myself (840443), the Parish Clerk (840685) or Ray Souness (840511)
