Garden Waste Collection

From West Devon Borough Council:

As part of our latest round of recycling improvements, South Zeal will be receiving a pilot Saturday bring service for household garden waste and bulky card.
This will be one Saturday in four and the garden waste truck will be parked in the recreation field car park from 9.30 until 14.00.
We will publish the dates for the year in March, and we will send them to you as part of a recycling service guide for all households in West Devon.

As part of this new services promotion we will be giving away reuseable garden waste bags on the first Saturday, 28th April, so please come and see us.

Please bring your garden waste in suitable reuseable bags (thick plastic/compost bags) so the crew can take it away for you and return the bags for you to use again.

We still recommend home composting as the best all round environmental option, and as such please contact us if you would like a discounted home composter.

This is an integral part of helping West Devon lead the way with recycling in rural areas, as we push ever closer towards 40% of household waste being recycled.
