Sharing at Christmas…
by Rosaleen Thayer
Many of us count our blessings at Christmas and often think about those less fortunate than ourselves. While doing your Christmas shopping why not buy a little something to give as a gift to those who may be homeless? The following gifts would be most welcome at St. Petrock’s Centre in Exeter – toiletries, chocolate bars, gloves, hats or scarves. Please indicate on gift wrapped parcels if they are for male or female. I would be happy to deliver gifts to the centre on Monday 19th of December. Feel free to leave items at the Rectory or I can collect (TEL:849048). St Petrock’s is an Exeter based charity (near the Cathedral) which aims to support and encourage people who are homeless or inadequately housed to improve their circumstances and to take more control of their lives. The charity has been working with the homeless for over ten years and provides a place of warmth and acceptance and a link between street life, loneliness and a better future.
